Ten to 12!

Dutch Butterfly Conservation (DBC) is launching the action plan ' Tien voor 12!'. The name can be taken in two ways, as ten to twelve, as time is running out for many butterflies in the Netherlands, and literally as ten for twelve. At present, there are twelve butterfly species with less than ten populations. By 2020 they must have at least ten sustainable populations. To ensure this, special groups will be set up for small-scale management. Furthermore, measures will be taken to enlarge and improve habitats by working together with both private parties and government at all levels.
